Job description
Urgently require Technical Writers & Senior Technical Writers with 3-7years of relevant experience to work on Telecom, Networking and Virtualisation (NFV) or Storage domain products.
The candidate(s) must have excellent writing/editing skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, experience in planning and developing documents from scratch, and ability to work effectively and constructively with all personality types and with global and culturally diverse groups.
Job Description:
- Develop high-quality technical documentation for Telecom, Converged systems/Networking and Virtualisation (NFV) domain products
- Analyse customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan.
- Design and develop product related information (for example, user guides, configuration/trouble shooting guides), and online information integrated into product, for a variety of audiences.
- Work closely with engineers, SMEs, and other stake holders to ensure that the information in your document is complete and accurate.
- Conduct a self-review and ensure that the document is free from technical, grammatical, and language errors.
- Edit technical content following the style guideline, incorporate or address the review comments.
- Deliver as per the agreed upon timelines
- Researches information about the project by interviewing subject matter experts, engineers, programmers and by using the product.
- Able to scan, understand and structure technical source content.
- Independent, takes responsibility for developing and delivering quality documentation.
- Strives to become an information expert on the product being documented and provides recommendation and ideas to the customer on presentation, structure and organisation of the materials.
- Proactively informs the Project Manager about the project status, issues or concerns, including issues of scope, schedule, process, and quality.
- Structured documentation/DITA experience (XMetal/SDL) would be preferred though not mandatory.
- Experience in developing solutions documentation, knowledge of API documentation would be advantageous though not a must.
Required Candidate profile
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Masters Degree (in any stream) with excellent English language skills.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills having 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in IT/high-tech companies.
- Excellent inter-personal skills and customer service attitude.
- Structured documentation/DITA experience preferred though not mandatory.
- Experience working on Telecom, NFV, Converged systems or would be advantageous.
