Technical Content Writer
Job description
As a part of our latest transformation, we are searching for an experienced Technical Writer that will develop and publish documentation. In this role, you will create user documentation that could include product user, administration, and technical guides, as well as tutorials and instructional videos. You will have the opportunity to work with Agile software development teams and client-facing departments, supporting internal staff as well as end-users.
Role and Responsibilities:
·Update and maintain client facing documentation, online help, and PDFs
·Consult with Development, QA, and Product Managers throughout software development process to meet internal and external needs
·Analyze different audiences to produce optimal format and content in documentation
·Proactively solve documentation problems and/or consult company resources for quick turnaround on project deliverables
·Follow technical writer group processes
·Assess, track, and prioritize project requests
·Learn how to use tools and software after initial training
Required Candidate profile
Technical Skills & Requirements:
·3-5 years experience creating end-user documentation
·Familiarity with Agile software development
·Familiarity with authoring tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Framemaker, Help+Manual, or RoboHelp
·Experience in instructional design or with HTML/CSS a plus
Soft Skills & Experience:
·Strong attention to detail and consistency
·Bachelors degree with focus in Technical Communications, Education, English is preferred
·Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal
·Ability to work both independently or in a group and prioritize ones own work
·Ability to handle changing priorities.
