Technical Writer Position Description
Position Description: Creating manuals and technical documentation for our products. Writing SOPs, Procedure documents. Writing QAPs, EMITPs, ATPs. Writing product brochures and related company marketing documentation. Co - ordinating with design team and external vendors for preparation of IETM documentation. Coordination with production/design/quality teams for photography of parts/processes for documentation and manual writing as necessary.
Experience
5 Years plus
Qualifications
At a minimum, he/she should be a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class/Distinction from a recognized University.
Skill set
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Photoshop and other DTP software/tools. Proficiency in the use of digital cameras for photography. Knowledge of IETM documentation. Excellent written and conversational English. Proficiency in writing large Word documents with header/section/TOC formatting, cross - referencing, captioning. Ability to capture the essence of a technical discussion and express it in writing in a manual.
