The Technical Writing team at Cybage has been providing high-precision product documentation services for more than 20 years. Our clientele includes some of the largest global companies such as Microsoft, Google, Mashery, Digital River, Tech Data, Fujifilm, TravelClick, MicroStrategy, and more.
- We seek top-notch technical writers with good experience in documenting APIs, SDKs and deep cloud infrastructure knowledge. The ideal candidate will also collaborate closely with our state-of-the-art user experience team to go beyond traditional forms of product documentation to deliver a ground-breaking overall user experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineers and product managers as the content for APIs and SDKs are developed in real time
- Create and deliver accurate, high-quality customer-facing documentation on time
- Contribute to strategic initiatives around authoring environments, development processes, and automation tools
- Work along with the members of technical content team; actively participate in content planning, content gathering, and problem-solving
- Collaborate with the user experience team to ensure that technical content including documentation, contextual help, UI text, and other forms of assistance are discoverable, usable, and pleasing to the customer
Required Skillset:
- 2 to 6 years of experience as a technical writer, including experience in developing API guides and Developer's guides
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in developing API and SDK documentation
- Experience in all phases of a TW project from planning to delivery
- Experience in collaborative authoring environment and tools
- Experience in working with a geographically distributed team of SMEs
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies
- Knowledge of XML and HTML and experience with structured writing
- Comfortable with agile, swiftly changing, dynamic software development situations
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to establish and follow style and usage guidelines
- Ability to drive, follow, and evangelize cross-team processes
- Understanding of transformation engines and content management systems
