USER ASSISTANCE DEVELOPER/TECHNICAL WRITER
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a passionate and innovative senior technical writer to help us deliver world-class content for SAP s Cloud HCM product, SAP SuccessFactors. As a member of our User Assistance team, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and updating product documentation to support the strategic goals of our customers. In addition, you ll have the opportunity to shape and implement our evolving content strategy as we look to expand our reach to new modalities like conversational UIs. The ideal candidate is an outstanding writer with a good understanding of DITA and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Deliver user assistance assets that enable users to deploy, administer, and use SAP software
Provide estimates, key deliverables, and milestones within a given release
Plan delivery of and create user assistance assets that enable consumers to deploy, administer, and use SAP software. User assistance deliverables can include terminology, UI texts, configuration guides, videos, context-sensitive help, tutorials, and social media content.
Develop a deep understanding of the software and target audience, and use appropriate language style and tone
Actively research user requirements and ensure that the content is aligned with the relevant documentation standards, guidelines, and content architecture
Work in close cooperation with development, product management, customer support, UX design, and other SAP teams to produce high-quality deliverables
Own the content lifecycle for one or more product areas, including quality assurance measures for your deliverables
Contribute to user assistance projects and initiatives for continuous improvements and innovation to User Assistance tools, processes, and content as applicable.

Required Candidate profile
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Undergraduate degreen Experience creating e-learning solutions is a plus
4-8 years of experience in creating technical and/or business process documentation
4-8 years of experience in creating technical and/or business process documentation
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage priorities, and a proactive approach to resolving problems and delivering results
Creative mindset with focus on the bigger picture
Experience with DITA or other topic-based authoring methodology is a plus
Experience writing task-oriented content
History of working in cross-cultural, global teams
Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders within SAP
