Technical Writer Position Summary
He/She will produce high-quality internal and external user guides and technical documentations that contributes to the overall success of Quaero products and solutions, using industry-standard publishing and multimedia tools. You will interview subject matter experts and technical staff, and you will conduct research, translating technically complex information into simple-to-understand content. You will advocate for customers, developing content that simplifies customer experience and conforms to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of both technical documentation and end-user training material for assigned applications.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience for external publication.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
- Work with product managers to create product release documents and associated product features documents.
- Help develop designs and standards to develop and deliver documentation for Quaero products.
Requirements :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience as a technical writer in writing software documentation.
- Excellent command of standard American English syntax and grammar.
- Preferred experience: DITA and XML authoring tools
- Familiarity with wiki
- Experience with social media and blog authoring
- Familiarity with using Git as a version management tool.
- Technical experience is preferred.
Education :
- A Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science or Engineering is required.
