Job Description

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiar with IT field related technologies and environment; Cloud, APIs, etc.

• Ability to use a variety of documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, XML editors, Microsoft Office and Visio, Adobe Acrobat)

• Basic graphic design and video capture skills and tooling, e.g., SnagIt, for capturing screens

• Experience with GitHub

• Proficiency in English

• 2 years+ experience as a technical writer in IT field Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Very knowledgeable with IT field related technologies and environment; Cloud, APIs, etc.

• Strong research skill

• Good interpersonal skills, written & proof reading

• Detail oriented, organized, proactive team player

• Familiar with project management and knowledge base repository tools a plus (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, BOX)

Skill - Technical Writing-Oxygen XML Editor-Content Writing

Responsibility –

As an IBM Cloud Information Developer, responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

•Writing and maintaining concise but complete internal and external technical information (e.g., runbooks, troubleshooting topics, compliance documentation, API descriptions) in compliance with IBM and team guidelines

•Independently researching for relevant information

•Working alongside multiple teams in a fast-paced agile environment towards providing written content that supports the IaaS platform.

•Following IBM style and IBM business guidelines; using approved templates

•Being technically savvy in the areas of documentation by being hands-on with new and current product features

•Being proficient in usage of documentation tools & systems and aware of new technologies in documentation, industry best practices.

•Delivering the work allocated in time and with quality.
